Maharashtra Politics: The matter regarding seat sharing in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra is still entangled. Now Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) President Prakash Ambedkar told Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge that he will support Congress on seven seats in Maharashtra. In a letter written to the Congress President, he expressed his unhappiness over the attitude of the party of Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray in the meeting of Maha Vikas Aghadi.

"Not invited for discussion"

In the letter, Ambedkar expressed his interest in an alliance between VBA and Congress. In the letter, Ambedkar said that the VBA was not invited for discussions between the Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Ambedkar says that the primary goal of the VBA is to defeat the BJP-RSS coalition government.

What did Prakash Ambedkar write in the letter?

Ambedkar wrote in the letter, "It was a pleasure to meet you and Rahul Gandhi at the concluding ceremony of the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Mumbai on March 17. We could not engage in a comprehensive conversation and hence I am writing to you today. Elections program has been announced and Maha Vikas Aghadi is continuously holding meetings without inviting Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi for any discussion or meeting.”

Refusal to listen to VBA representatives

He further said, “Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) have refused to listen to VBA representatives in many MVA meetings. Due to their discriminatory attitude towards VBA in MVA, we have called off both these parties. The main agenda of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi is to oust the divisive, undemocratic BJP-RSS government from power. With this in mind, I have decided to extend VBA's full support to the Indian National Congress on 7 seats in Maharashtra "

Ambedkar urged, "I request you to list the names of 7 constituencies from the quota allotted to Congress in the MVA. Our party will extend its full grassroots and strategic support to the candidates of your party on these 7 seats of your choice. "
