Xiaomi Redmi Go is set to launch in India today. Xiaomi will unveil its latest smartphone, Redmi Go. Targeted at entry-level segment, Redmi Go is also Xiaomi’s first smartphone to run on Android Go platform. Xiaomi’s latest smartphone features dual-SIM with dedicated microSD card tray which means users can use two SIMs as well as expandable storage card as well. Xiaomi Redmi Go will be priced under Rs 5,000 in India.

Xiaomi will unveil its latest smartphone, Redmi Go, in India today. Targeted at the entry-level segment, Redmi Go is also Xiaomi’s first smartphone to run on Android Go platform.

Google’s Android Go system allows low-end phones to run faster despite limited RAM and storage capacity. For faster software experience, Android Go comes pre-installed with lightweight versions of all essential Google applications such as Gmail Go, Maps Go, and Assistant Go.

Xiaomi Redmi Go: Full specifications

Xiaomi Redmi Go comes with a 5-inch HD display with older 16:9 aspect ratio, 296 pixel density, 720p resolution, and 72% NTSC (typ) colour gamut.

The smartphone runs on Android Go and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. Redmi Go is available in 8GB and 16GB built-in storage variants.

Xiaomi Redmi Go comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with HDR mode and full HD video recording support. On the front it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with HDR support.
