T20 World Cup | Former India coach Ravi Shastri also blamed the players' prolonged stay in the bio bubble for India's loss in the first two matches in the T20 World. Now Pakistan captain Babar Azam has also supported this statement of Shastri. Babar, while saying yes to Shastri, said that it is not easy for the players to play continuously in the bio bubble.

Ahead of India's T20 World Cup match against Namibia, Shastri said his players were mentally and physically exhausted after being in the bio-bubble for six months and getting rest between IPL and ICC tournaments would have benefitted his team. India failed to make it to the semi-finals of an ICC tournament for the first time since 2012.

Babar said on Tuesday, "Professional cricket always has its ups and downs, but being in a constant bio-bubble makes players feel upset and uncomfortable." "We have tried to counter this by working as a group in the Pakistani team and supporting each other," he said. The Pakistani captain said that the players have been bound by one boundary since last year which is not easy. “As a player, you need to rest and be ready to handle the pressure. But there are times when things are not in your favor then you need to freshen up. It becomes necessary for you to get out but when you can't get out because of the bio bubble then negative things go home in your mind which affects the performance.
