India-Ukraine Relation: More than 2 years have passed since the Russia-Ukraine war, but no solution has been found yet. From the beginning, India has been appealing for ending the Russia-Ukraine war through dialogue. PM Modi has good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. In such a situation, Ukraine has big expectations from India. Zelensky has sent his Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to India in hopes of bringing peace to the Russia-Ukraine war. Zelensky hopes that PM Modi and S Jaishankar will definitely find some solution for peace in the war by talking to Russia.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is meeting his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar in New Delhi today to further Kiev's peace efforts amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. Kuleba, who began a two-day visit to the South Asian country on Thursday (March 28), also wants to strengthen ties between India and Ukraine. Apart from the meeting with External Affairs Minister (EAM) Jaishankar today (29 March), the Ukrainian Foreign Minister will also hold talks with Indian Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri.

First visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister to India

This is Kuleba's first visit to India after becoming the Foreign Minister of Ukraine in 2020. Kuleba's main agenda is to garner support from India for the peace summit to be held in Switzerland. Kuleba is hopeful of getting India's support for the international peace summit. Neutral Switzerland will probably host the conference in the spring. The dates of the summit have not yet been announced. The summit is planned to be held to garner support for President Vladimir Zelensky's 10-point peace proposal. Which Zelensky has always kept in front of Russia. In January Swiss President Viola Emhard said her country would host a global peace summit. "At the request of the Ukrainian President, Switzerland has agreed to host a summit on the peace formula," the Swiss government said at the time.
