Sriharikota: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch Indian satellite RISAT-2 BR1 and 9 satellites from four other countries at 3:25 pm today. The launch will be done through PSLV-C48 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. RISAT-2 BR1 Radar Imaging is Earth Observation Satellite. It can take clear pictures even in clouds and darkness.

Will recognize two things at a distance of 35 cm

RISAT-2 BR1 will operate for five years. This will make radar imaging manifold better. It has a camera of 0.35 m resolution, i.e. it can identify two things separately and clearly located at a distance of 35 cm. It will monitor terrorist activities and infiltration in the border areas. This will help all the three armies and security forces. It weighs 628 kg. It will be placed in the earth's orbit at 578 km above the ground in the 17th minute of launch.

Security agencies will require 4 RISATs

The launch of RISAT-2 BR2, the next satellite of ISRO RISAT series, will also be done this month. After this, another satellite will be launched. However, their date is not fixed yet. Security agencies need at least four resets in space for continuous monitoring at any one place in a day. All four satellites will be useful during an encounter or intrusion. As of 6 March, 13 missions of ISRO are in queue. These include 6 large vehicle missions, while 7 are satellite missions.

Israeli satellite made by 3 high school students

The Israeli satellite launched by 3 students of the Israeli satellite high school is named Duchifat-3. It is composed by 2 students from the Herzliya Science Center in Israel and Shar Hanegev High School. It is only 2.3 kg. It is an educational satellite. The camera on it will be used for earth imaging, while the radio transponder will be used to research air and water pollution and monitor forests. The three Israeli students who make it will also be present at the Satish Dhawan Center at the time of launch.

The third RISAT-2 BR2 of this series will also be launched this month.

After the launch of RISAT-2 BR1, ISRO will launch the third RISAT-2 BR2 of this series by the end of this month. After this, there will be another satellite launch. Security agencies will need at least four resets in space for continuous monitoring at any one place in a day. In such a situation, these bait will be used by the satellite at the time of an encounter or intrusion.

This 50th mission of PSLV

PSLV will be the 50th launching of PSLV rocket. It will be the 75th rocket to be launched from Sriharikota. This will be the 37th launch from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Center.
