Delhi: With the increase in the cases of corona infection in Delhi, the number of patients admitted in hospitals has also reached close to 200. However, fewer people are in need of hospital than the newly infected. Doctors say that up to 95 percent of those admitted to hospitals are corona infected who already have other diseases like kidney, liver, cancer and diabetes.
A total of 15 infected are admitted in Delhi's Loknayak Hospital. Medical superintendent of the hospital Dr Suresh Kumar said that all are already suffering from other diseases. Most of them had come for the treatment of other diseases. Most have mild to moderate symptoms. Only a few patients have required ventilators and all of them were already seriously illThere are also 13 corona infected admitted in Safdarjung Hospital. According to a senior doctor, all are suffering from other diseases. There is no such patient who has been admitted only because of corona.Same situation in private hospitals: 9 corona infected are admitted in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Doctor Atul Kakkar of the Medicine Department of the hospital says that there are only one or two elderly corona patients in the hospitals who are not suffering from any disease before. All other patients had some health problem and were admitted after corona. Only four corona infected are admitted in Delhi's Apollo Hospital.
