Israel-Iran War: Amid the ongoing military conflict between Iran and Israel, the Government of India has ensured the safe return of Indians stranded in Iran by running a major relief operation. On Sunday, a new batch of 311 Indian citizens reached Delhi via a special flight from Mashhad city of Iran. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed this and said that till now a total of 1,428 Indians have been successfully evacuated from Iran.

More than 200 Kashmiri students were studying in Iran and were badly trapped in the midst of the war. The safe return of these students has brought a great relief to their families.

"Operation Sindhu" became a lifeline

The Indian government launched 'Operation Sindhu' last week, under which a campaign to evacuate Indian citizens trapped in war-affected areas Iran and Israel began. This operation has emerged as an excellent example of speed and coordination, in which the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Embassy and local authorities together ensured the safety of people in war-like conditions.

Kashmiri Students Union expressed gratitude

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Union has expressed gratitude to the Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Iran for this timely action. In its statement, the union said, "The students who spent difficult days in the shadow of war in Iran are now among their own people in their motherland. This is the result of the sensitive and efficient leadership of the government." The union also praised the quick coordination of the officials of India and Iran.

The war flared up further due to America's entry

Meanwhile, the Iran-Israel conflict took a new turn on Sunday morning, when the US also intervened and bombed three major nuclear sites of Iran. This has further aggravated the tension in the region. Israel and Iran are attacking each other's military installations with missiles and drones, which has spread a wave of unrest across the Middle East.
