A parliamentary security officer was slightly injured on 4 August during an altercation with suspended members of Parliament from Trinamool who tried to enter Rajya Sabha's bedroom after the House adjourned at 3:15 p.m.

Six MPs, who were suspended on Wednesday, continued to broadcast anti-government slogans just outside Rajya Sabha's bedroom, surrounded by security personnel preventing them from entering the house.

Things got tense after the House ended at 3:15 pm. Four of the six members try to enter the Room. Congressman Arpita Ghosh, sources said, during the final conflict broke the bedroom's glass door. Shards of glass hit a security guard in the neck, causing minor scratches.

“After the House adjourned for the day, 4 of us 6 MPs from Trinamool suspended for the day tried to enter the Rajya Sabha. We were prevented from doing so. Our suspension ended after the House adjourned for the day. Why are we stopping? Democracy hits a new low #Parliament, ”tweeted Dola Sen, Congressman from Trinamool. She is one of the six suspended deputies.

Sources claim that security officials have been asked to send a detailed report to Rajya chairman Sabha Venkaiah Naidu for further action.
