UP Election | The Rae Bareli Sadar seat of UP is witnessing a triangular contest between SP, BJP and Congress. There was a tussle between BJP and BJP here on Saturday. Attacking the Congress, BJP leader Aditi Singh said that the Gandhi family does only dialogue. Aditi did not stop here, she further said that Congress has not done anything for Rae Bareli.

Singh also praised Union Minister Smriti Irani, who directed officials to set up an OPD in Rae Bareli, which ensured provision of hospital beds for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aditi Singh said, "Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who is now talking of helping Rae Bareli never visited the district during the time of crisis."

According to India Today, the BJP candidate from Rae Bareli assembly seat further said, "The brother-sister duo [Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra] gives the same old statement in every election and does not even bother to show it again."

Aditi Singh said, "Congress has nothing to do, so they take credit for any work done in Rae Bareli." Singh further asked the Congress leaders how many times senior Congress leaders visited Rae Bareli in the last 60 years. Aditi Singh further said that nothing will happen with the dialogue. People know everything."

He also said that the BJP will win most of the assembly seats in Rae Bareli district in the ongoing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Aditi Singh said, "Even a silent voter in Rae Bareli will vote for BJP. BJP will win this election. There is no need for polarization. The BJP government has worked beyond expectations."

Let us inform that Rae Bareli Sadar seat of UP has been considered a stronghold of Congress. Late Congress leader Akhilesh Singh was a five-time MLA from here. Akhilesh's daughter Aditi Singh is the BJP's candidate this time, who was a Congress MLA.

Akhilesh Singh won thrice from Rae Bareli Sadar on Congress's election symbol. Won in 2007 as an independent and in 2012 as a candidate of the Peace Party. He may have moved away from the Congress, but never joined the BJP. However, his daughter had joined the BJP last year after being elected as a Congress MLA. US-educated Aditi Singh was fielded in 2017 by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The Congress in alliance with the SP had won the seat by a record 1,28,319 votes.
