G20 Summit / African Union becomes member of G20, PM Modi announced

G20 Summit: The first session has started on the first day of the G20 summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the global leaders. The PM first talked about the Morocco earthquake, where about 300 people have died. He said that the whole world is with Morocco in this hour of grief. PM Modi also announced the African Union's official joining of the G20 group. He also hugged the union president and congratulated him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that with the consent of all of you, the African Union is going to become a permanent member of G20 from today. With this announcement, all the leaders applauded. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar brought along African Union President Azali Assoumani and PM Modi hugged him and congratulated him for this.

India will help Morocco- PM Modi

After Prime Minister Modi, all the global leaders will present their views one by one. On the Morocco earthquake, the PM said that before starting the proceedings of the G20, I would like to express my condolences on the loss of life and property due to the earthquake in Morocco. We pray that all the injured get well as soon as possible. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time.”

Gave the world the mantra of support for all, development for all

Prime Minister Modi said that as the President of G20, India calls upon the whole world to together transform the global trust deficit into one trust, one trust. This is the time for all of us to move together. Therefore, the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas can become a guiding light for all of us.

Need to work together to deal with global economy and terrorism

Be it turmoil in the global economy, North-South divide, East-West divide, terrorism and cyber security, health, energy and water security… PM said that for the times to come, we need to face these challenges with concrete solutions. We have to move forward for a solution.
