SA vs NED: South Africa has faced defeat against Netherlands in the 15th match of the ODI World Cup. South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Batting first, Netherlands scored 245 runs. In response, the South African team was able to score 207 runs and lost the match by 38 runs.

This is the second major reversal within the last 3 days. Earlier on October 15, Afghanistan had defeated world champion England by 69 runs in Delhi.

Kagiso Rabada was out after scoring 9 runs. He was caught by Bas de Leede at the hands of Sybrand Engelbrecht. This is Leede's second wicket. He also dismissed Gerald Cootzie (22 runs).

Logan Van Beek dismissed David Miller (43 runs) and Heinrich Klaasen (28 runs).

Paul Van Meekeren dismissed Marco Jansson (9 runs) and Aiden Markram (1 run), while Roelof van der Merwe took the wickets of Rassie van der Dussen (4 runs) and captain Temba Bavuma (16 runs).

Colin Ackerman dismissed Quinton de Kock (20 runs).

The Netherlands team, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 245 runs for 8 wickets in 43 overs. On behalf of the Dutch team, captain Scott Edwards played an unbeaten inning of 78 runs on the Dharamshala ground, while Roelof van der Merwe contributed 29 runs.

For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Yanson and Kagiso Rabada took two wickets each.

Scott Edwards played the captaincy innings. He scored a half-century at number 7. This is Edwards' 5th half-century of this year. He scored the 14th half-century of his ODI career. Edwards returned unbeaten after scoring 78 runs. He scored runs in an inning of 69 balls at a strike rate of 113.04. Hit 10 fours and one six in this innings.
