America has done this air strike to protect the soldiers of Somalia, in which more than two dozen terrorists of Al Shabaab have been put to death.

It is being told that Somalia's army had sought help from America. After this, America along with Somalia's army carried out an air strike on the terrorists. The incident is being reported from the central Somalian city of Galkad. Which is located about 260 kilometers north-east from the capital Mogadishu. Somalia's army said that it was fighting more than 100 Al Shabaab terrorists. This terrorist organization is linked to Al Qaeda. Help was sought from the US Army to eliminate the terrorists.

US troops deployed to protect Somalia

The United States has deployed more than 500 troops over the years to help the government and military fight al-Shabaab militants in Somalia. These American troops have been deployed in Somalia since the tenure of former President Donald Trump. However, later the Trump government had decided to withdraw American troops, describing the situation as normal. But the current President Joe Biden, overturning Trump's decision, had decided to continue the deployment of at least 500 American troops in Somalia. Had Biden not taken this decision, today the terrorists of Al Shabaab would have overpowered the Somalian army.

America has done many surgical strikes in Somalia

The US has carried out several surgical strikes in the areas where Al Shabaab is present in Somalia. Dozens of Al Shabaab terrorists have been killed in different surgical strikes so far. The Somalian government is also heaving a sigh of relief from this. Earlier in November 2022, 17 terrorists were killed in a surgical strike by the US Army 285 km north-east of Mogadishu. Apart from this, at the end of December also 6 terrorists of Al Shabaab were killed. American forces are deployed only to protect Somalia from terrorists.
