Assam / Amit Shah on a two-day visit, will interact with BSF jawans today, will lay the foundation stone for many projects

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Assam late on Sunday night on his two-day visit. Amit Shah was received by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) in Guwahati. During this, other senior leaders of the state BJP also welcomed Shah.


Sarma tweeted, "Honoured to welcome Hon'ble Home Minister Amit Shah at LGBI airport in Guwahati. The Home Minister will be attending several events in Assam over the next two days. We have always been blessed with his generous guidance. Look forward to his invaluable 'guidance'."


Let us inform that the Biswa-led government is going to complete its one year in power in Assam on Tuesday i.e. 10 May. During his visit, Shah will attend the first anniversary celebrations of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led state government and will also visit the India-Bangladesh border.


The Home Minister will visit the Mankachar Border Outpost (BOP) of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday morning and interact with the officers and jawans posted there. He will lay the foundation stone of CENWOSTO-II (Central Workshop and Store) for Central Armed Paramilitary Force (CAPF) at Kelenchi in Tamulpur district and will participate in the program organized on the occasion.


The Home Minister will also inaugurate the census office and SSB buildings (through virtual mode) at Amingaon in Kamrup (Metro) district. During this, Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of several projects including Public Auditorium, Integrated DC Office, Police Commissionerate Building and Guwahati Police Reserve Building.


Will inaugurate super specialty hospital

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Himanta Biswa Sarma government in Assam, Shah will address a public meeting at Guwahati's Khanapara ground on Tuesday and inaugurate several projects, including a super specialty hospital and the National University of Forensic Sciences.


On May 10, the Union Home Minister will confer the 'President Color Award' to Assam Police for their service in the last 25 years in Guwahati. The Home Minister will inspect the Assam Police parade and have lunch with officers and jawans at the Assam Police Headquarters. After this, Shah will return to New Delhi on Tuesday evening.


The President's Color Award is the highest honor given to any police unit in India. It is also known as 'mark', which is a symbol. Assam is the 10th state in the country to earn the 'President Color Award' for its outstanding performance in combating extremism, controlling crime, maintaining law and order and protecting people and properties in the state.
