Uttar Pradesh | In the midst of the ongoing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the ruling BJP seems to be taking a soft stance on Mayawati and her party BSP. In fact, in this election, it is being said that the main fight in UP is between BJP and SP. In such a situation, it is being said about Mayawati, who has been the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times, that she has not entered the electoral fray by being more aggressive.

However, now Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big statement regarding this. He has said that Mayawati has not lost her relevance. His party will get votes in Uttar Pradesh. The Union Home Minister said that the Jatav vote has been with the BSP.

In an interview to TV channel News18, Amit Shah said, "BSP has maintained its relevance. I am sure they will get votes. I don't know how many seats it will translate into but BSP will get votes." Shah said that Mayawati has her own hold on the land.

"The Jatav vote bank will go with Mayawati. Muslim vote will also go with Mayawati in large numbers," he said. When Shah was asked whether this would benefit the BJP, he said, "I don't know whether it will benefit or harm the BJP." It depends on the seat. But, it is not true that Mayawati's railways is over.

It is claimed that Mayawati has kept herself low profile in this election. To this Shah said that this does not mean that his support base is over.

Let us tell you that this is not the first time that a big leader of BJP has given a positive statement about Mayawati. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has not shown a more aggressive stand against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Mayawati in his election rallies.

In a recent interview, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while answering the questions arising about the soft attitude towards BSP, said, "We have no agreement with any party. Like Congress and Samajwadi Party, BSP is also a strong rival of BJP. Three opposition parties are fighting for the second and third places. BJP 2014 (Lok Sabha). Will repeat the performance of 2017 (Assembly elections) and 2019 (Lok Sabha elections) and form the government with majority.
