A high-speed collision between a private passenger bus and a container lorry on the Nandyal-Allagadda road resulted in a massive fire, leading to the tragic death of three individuals who were burnt alive. The Sequence of the Fatal Crash

According to police reports, the accident involved a private bus operated by AR BCVR Travels. The vehicle was traveling at a significant speed when one of its tires suddenly burst. The driver lost control, causing the bus to veer across the road divider and crash head-on into an oncoming container lorry. The lorry was reportedly transporting a consignment of motorcycles, while the impact was so severe that fuel tanks ruptured, and both vehicles were instantly engulfed in towering flames.

Heroic Rescue Mission Saves 36 Lives

While the fire spread rapidly, a major tragedy was averted thanks to. The quick thinking of a local DCM driver and the bus cleaner. As passengers panicked inside the smoke-filled bus, the rescuers used heavy objects to break the windows. They managed to pull out all 36 passengers just moments before the entire bus was consumed by fire. Their bravery has been hailed by local authorities and the survivors.

Casualties and Injuries

Despite the successful rescue of the passengers, the drivers of both vehicles and a cleaner couldn't escape the inferno, while inspector Madhusudhan of Sirivellametta confirmed that the bus driver, the lorry driver, and the cleaner died on the spot. Four passengers sustained serious fractures and are currently undergoing treatment at the Nandyal District Government Hospital, while eight others suffered minor injuries and were provided first aid.

Investigation and Aftermath

Firefighting units arrived at the scene to douse the flames, but the intensity of the fire had already reduced the vehicles to skeletons. The police have launched a formal investigation into the mechanical failure of the bus. Preliminary findings suggest that the tire burst was the primary cause of the loss of control. The highway remained blocked for several hours as recovery teams worked to clear the wreckage and restore the flow of traffic.
