Gyanvapi Case: In the Gyanvapi-Kashi Vishwanath Temple case, the Varanasi District Court has given a big verdict today. Rejecting the argument of the Muslim side, the court has ordered an ASI survey of the premises. The court has said in its order that Namaz will continue to be held in the premises during the ASI survey. It is estimated to complete this survey work within 3-6 months. However, after the court's decision, the Muslim side has said that it will challenge the court's order in the High Court.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar, representing the Hindu side in the case, has said that the court has directed an ASI survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, except for the Vaju tank, which has been sealed. I think the survey will take 3 to 6 months. At the same time, Subhash Nandan, another lawyer from the Hindu side, Chaturvedi said, the court has accepted the application of the ASI survey. This is a big turning point in the case.

Looking at the action taken on the previous dates of Mamli, in the debate held on July 12 and 14, 2023, the Muslim side lodged an objection and said that if the archaeological survey of the Gyanvapi complex is done, then in such a situation the structure of Gyanvapi would be greatly damaged by excavation etc. Big loss can happen. In such a situation, there should not be any archaeological survey of the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque and in this case evidence is being collected by the Hindu side, which is not legal.

The Hindu side had given this argument before the court

In the last hearing on the same subject, the district judge was requested by the advocates of the Hindu side in detail keeping the observations of the High Court, the Supreme Court and several case laws before the district court, that it is necessary to conduct an archaeological survey of the Gyanvapi complex, because of this the Hindus Tense atmosphere prevails. The tension that has arisen regarding the Gyanvapi episode should be resolved amicably and the scientific facts of the Gyanvapi campus can be revealed to everyone.

The experts of Archology can use radar penetrating, X-ray method, radar mapping, stylistic dating etc. methods on the subject of which structure was built in the Gyanvapi complex. In stylistic dating, by assessing the age-old condition of a structure from the style of its construction, the experts of archeology clarify and prove to which period that structure belongs.
