Super Thief Arrested / Arrest including crooks involved in the loot of eight crores, used to steal expensive goods from vehicles

The crime branch of Delhi Police has arrested the miscreant Tilak Lohia, who was involved in the robbery of eight crores, along with his accomplice. The accused used to blew expensive goods from the truck after meeting the truck drivers. 43 new ACs worth about Rs 20 lakh have been recovered from their possession. Tilak Lohia was an accomplice of South Delhi gangster Shakti Naidu, but later enmity developed between the two.

According to Crime Branch DCP Deepak Yadav, a truck loaded with 120 new air conditioners of Lloyd Company had left Dehradun for Jhajjar on January 31, 2022. Driver Mr. Izar fled leaving the truck near Tappal, Aligarh. The victim had lodged a complaint in Dehradun on February 4, 22. The truck diver was in contact with the miscreants.

Inspector Dalip Kumar had received information about the movement of gang members on March 28, 22. After investigation, this team arrested two accused Tilak Lohia and Sanjay Gupta from Delhi. During interrogation, both accepted the fact of grabbing the AC from the truck. 43 new ACs were recovered from their possession. These ACs came in their share in partition.

During interrogation of the accused, it was found that Ramjit, a resident of Azamgarh, UP, runs a gang. He used to meet the truck drivers and take away the expensive goods from the trucks. Accused Tilak Lohia and Sanjay Gupta are associates of Ramjit. He has good contacts in the driver's lobby. They used to sell the looted goods from the trucks at very low prices.

The father of Tilak Lohia (32), a resident of Chhatarpur, Delhi, died in 2006. He has been a close associate of gangster Shakti Naidu. Shakti Naidu was killed in an encounter by the UP Police in Meerut on February 18, 20. Earlier, enmity had developed between the two. She was attacked by Shakti Naidu in January 20. He was hit by six bullets, while his cousin Honey was killed. He along with Shakti Naidu had looted eight crore rupees in Lajpat Nagar in the year 2014. When he was in Jaipur jail in the year 2020, he came in contact with Sanjay Gupta.

There are five criminal cases registered against Tilak in Delhi, Meerut and Jaipur. Sanjay Gupta (33), resident of Jawahar Colony, NIT, Faridabad, has completed his graduation. He used to buy stolen goods. One case each is registered against this in Rudhpur, Uttarakhand and Jaipur, Rajasthan.
