Six specialized teams of the UP Police reached the houses of the accused to carry out extensive searches, while during these raids, the police questioned the family members of the suspects and recorded their statements. The investigators also scrutinized property documents and other financial records found at the premises to trace any potential money trail linked to the theft. In addition to the family members, the police also interacted with neighbors to gather more information about the lifestyle and activities of the accused.
Names of the Accused and Search Details
The police teams visited the residences of Anukalp Mishra, Lav Kush Mishra, the main accused Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav, Manish Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, and Rama Shankar Mishra. During the raid at Tinnu Yadav's house, the police found the premises locked. Despite this, the investigation continued at other locations where police personnel were deployed at the entrance gates to prevent any unauthorized entry or interference with the search process. The authorities believe that a portion of the stolen offerings might be recovered from these residential locations.

The case gained momentum after the first FIR was registered on June 25, based on a complaint by Krishna Mohan, a member of the Temple Trust. Following the FIR, 8 individuals, including Tinnu Yadav, were arrested. On June 26, the CJM court sent the accused to jail for a period of three days. In a major development, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust confirmed the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra on Saturday. Swami Govind Dev Giri, the Treasurer of the Trust, acknowledged receiving the resignation letters and stated that the matter would be discussed in the upcoming meeting scheduled for July 11.
