PM Modi: The 12th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is going to be transferred to the farmers' account soon. According to the media report, PM Modi will release the installment in the account of farmers in the program to be organized at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR) located in Pusa on October 17. But before this, farmers can get another good news. The government may soon get approval to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Rabi crops.

MSP may increase by 9 percent

A decision on the MSP of Rabi crops is expected in the meeting of the Union Cabinet and CCEA on Wednesday. Sources claim that the government can increase the MSP of Rabi crops up to 9 percent. The price of pulses may change the most. Farmers are also very happy with this news. Earlier in August, the Union Cabinet had increased the purchase limit of tur, urad and masoor dal to 40 per cent under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). Earlier this limit was 25 percent.

MSP was also increased in Chhattisgarh in July

The Price Support Scheme (PSS) of the Ministry of Agriculture comes into effect when the price of agricultural produce falls below the Minimum Support Price (MSP). In July, Chhattisgarh changed the MSP of pulses to promote different crops. In order to encourage the farmers to cultivate more and more pulses crops, the minimum support price of pulses was increased.

On the other hand, the 12th installment of PM Kisan will come on October 17 and 18 in the account of about 10 crore farmers of the country. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Prime Minister Modi will also meet some farmers during the Agri-Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan 2022. The 11th installment of PM Kisan was released by the government on 31 May.
