LPG Cylinder Price: Modi government has taken a big decision. Amid softening of international indices, the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinder for commercial use were cut by Rs 39.50 per cylinder on Friday. However, the price of domestic use LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) remains at Rs 903. According to the notification issued by the public sector petroleum companies, the price of commercial LPG used in various establishments like hotels and restaurants will now be Rs 1,757 per 19 kg cylinder in the national capital, which was earlier Rs 1,796.50. Commercial LPG prices were increased on December 1.

No change in the price of petrol and diesel

Now the price of commercial LPG will be Rs 1,710 per 19 kg cylinder in Mumbai, Rs 1,868.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1,929 in Chennai. Rates vary from state to state depending on local taxes. The Saudi contract price (CP), the index used for pricing LPG, has softened over the past few weeks amid oversupply concerns. Petrol and diesel prices have remained stable for a record 21st consecutive month. The price of petrol in the national capital is Rs 96.72 per liter and diesel is Rs 89.62 per liter.
