In a news channel programme, regarding the possibility of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and other regional parties joining NDA, Amit Shah said that we believe in family planning, but not in politics. We always want our alliance to grow and we always welcome new partners. Our ideology has remained the same since the time of Jan Sangh. Those who want to join us can come. Regarding the re-entry of Akali Dal in NDA, Shah said that talks are going on, but nothing has been decided.

For the past several days, discussions were going on that the alliance between BJP and Akali Dal is certain and its announcement is possible any time. However, there was a problem regarding the seat, which had to be discussed. Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal is currently on 'Punjab Bachao Yatra' to draw people's attention to the alleged failures of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Initially, Badal is covering five of the 13 parliamentary constituencies and 45 of the 117 assembly constituencies in the state.
