MP Elections 2023 / BJP released list of 57 candidates for Madhya Pradesh - Shivraj will contest from Budhni.

MP Elections 2023: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the fourth list of its candidates for Madhya Pradesh elections on Monday. This time the party has announced 57 more candidates. Meanwhile, state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been given ticket from Budhni and state Home Minister Narottam Mishra will contest from Datia. Apart from this, Minister Govind Rajput will contest from Surkhi, Minister Kamal Patel from Harda, Minister Vishwas Sarang from Narela and Minister Bhupendra Singh from Khurai.

This time the party has given tickets to 22 ministers including the Chief Minister in the list of 57 candidates. Although all the seats in and around Indore were declared, but the candidate from Indore 3 seat has not been announced. Kailash Vijayvargiya's son Akash Vijayvargiya is the MLA from this seat. At the same time, 8 supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined BJP from Congress, have also been given tickets. BJP has once again expressed confidence in these faces.

After the announcement of the election date, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that BJP is continuously getting love from the people of Madhya Pradesh, once again it has to maintain the pace of development. Voting will be conducted in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November

The Election Commission of the country has today announced the dates for holding assembly elections in five states including Madhya Pradesh. Voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November and counting of votes will take place on 3rd December. Elections will be held in a single phase in the state. There are 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh Assembly. After defection, at present BJP has a total of 128 seats, while Congress has 98 seats.

BJP is currently the ruling party in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is leading the government. He has been in power in the state for the last 15 years. However, in the year 2018, Congress had won the assembly elections. Under the leadership of senior party leader Kamal Nath, Congress had won 114 seats and formed the government, but after the rebellion of Jyotiraditya Scindia in March 2020, the Congress government fell. After this BJP came back to power again.
