Delhi / BJP seals liquor shops in 14 districts, burns CM Kejriwal's effigy

State BJP leaders and workers on Thursday sealed liquor shops at 14 different places in their 14 districts, protesting against the excise policy of the Delhi government. During this, BJP leaders and workers also burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He took the action of sealing, accusing them of opening these shops illegally.

During the closure of liquor shop in Patel Nagar, State BJP President Adesh Gupta said that domestic violence has increased due to the opening of liquor shops in Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is directly responsible for this. Due to this, BJP workers including women, youth, RWAs, market associations and social organizations are opposing the opening of liquor shops and closing them.

He said that the BJP will not allow the Chief Minister's intention to make Delhi a liquor city by collaborating with the liquor mafia. Due to the Chief Minister, women are facing problem in walking in the main markets today as they are feeling uncomfortable due to the long line in front of the liquor shops.

Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri sealed the open liquor shop in Deoli village. The villagers of the area were struggling for two and a half months to get this shop closed. On the other hand, MP Ramesh Bidhuri said that the maximum number of liquor shops opened in Delhi's residential areas, between schools, temples and main market and in violation of the rules of the corporation have been closed by BJP workers and social organizations.

On the other hand, State BJP General Secretary Kuljit Singh Chahal said that in the coming days, the movement against the excise policy will be intensified. BJP's Pawan Sharma, Ashish Sood, Vijender Gupta, Harsh Malhotra, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Rajan Tiwari, Rajiv Babbar, Om Prakash Sharma, Anil Bajpai, Abhay Verma, Jitendra Mahajan, Yogita Singh, Gaurav Khari, Yogendra Singh in sealing the liquor shop Chandolia, Ashok Goel, Naveen Kumar Jindal etc. were also present.
