Pakistan Bomb Blast: A massive bomb blast took place in the Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) meeting in Bajaur area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. There is chaos in the area. According to Pakistani media, 40 people have lost their lives so far, while 200 people are said to be injured. This blast has been done targeting the JUI-F worker's conference. The blast took place near Dubai Mor. Teams of police and rescue personnel reached the spot and made arrangements to take the injured to the hospital. At the same time, the police have started collecting evidence.

DIG Malakand says that nothing can be said about how the explosion took place. Information is being gathered. It is seen in the pictures that several ambulances have reached the spot and the entire area has been cordoned off. One by one the injured have been taken out. It is being said that the explosion was so tremendous that its sound was heard for two kilometers.

Took the help of helicopter to take the injured to the hospital

According to Pakistani media, Bajaur District Emergency Officer Saad Khan told that JUI-F's emir Maulana Ziaullah Jan in Khar tehsil also died in the blast. Over 150 injured people were brought to the Bajaur District Headquarters Hospital, while those in critical condition were taken to Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). Governor Haji Ghulam Ali says that a helicopter was sent to Bajaur to transfer the injured.

Over 500 people attended the meeting - eyewitnesses

Rahim Shah, an eyewitness, says that more than 500 people were attending the conference when the explosion occurred. He said, “We were listening to Bayan when there was a huge bang, after which I fainted.” Shah told that when he regained consciousness, blood was visible everywhere. People were shouting and the sound of gunfire was also heard.

Meanwhile, former information minister Fawad Chaudhry said reports of the blast at the JUI-F convention in Bajaur were "alarming" and prayed for the safety of the people. JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah said that he too was to attend the conference today, but could not attend the meeting due to some personal reasons.

JUI-F raised demand, blast should be investigated

He said, “I strongly condemn the blast and want to convey a message to the people behind it that this is not Jihad but terrorism.” He said that today's incident is an attack on humanity and Bajaur. He demanded that the blast should be investigated. He says that this is not the first time JUI-F has been targeted. This has happened before also. Our workers have been targeted. We raised our voice on this in the Parliament but no action was taken.
