Brijbhushan Case: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Brijbhushan Singh has got interim bail in the case of sexual exploitation of women wrestlers. Brij Bhushan was produced on Tuesday after Delhi's Rouse Avenue court issued summons, shortly after the start of the hearing, the decision on interim bail came. The court has given relief for two days to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and co-accused Vinod Tomar in this case.

The Rouse Avenue Court has granted this bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000. Now the court will hear the matter on July 20 at 12.30 pm, where hearing can be held on regular bail.

Delhi Police opposes bail

Tight security was done in the court before the production on Tuesday. Advocate AP Singh, Rajeev Mohan argued on behalf of Brij Bhushan while Atul Srivastava presented the side on behalf of Delhi Police.

During the hearing, Brij Bhushan's lawyer Rajeev Mohan said that the Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet in this case without arrest, none of the sections which have been imposed have a provision of punishment of more than 5 years. Brij Bhushan's lawyer claimed that we are getting the charge sheet today itself, we will not leak it and others should also not leak it to journalists.

After the appeal of the lawyer, the judge said that you should approach the High Court for in camera proceedings. The Delhi Police opposed the grant of bail and said that if this happens, they can influence the witnesses.

Brijbhushan and Vinod Tomar get relief for 2 days

The hearing on regular bail will be held on Thursday. Rouse Avenue Court granted interim bail to Brij Bhushan and Vinod Tomar. Got interim bail for two days. Brij Bhushan's counsel sought hearing tomorrow, as the Parliament session is starting day after day. Regular bail will be heard on Thursday at 2:30 pm.

Wrong reporting is being done regarding the charge sheet – lawyer

During the hearing, Brij Bhushan's lawyer Rajeev Mohan said that the Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet in this case without arrest, none of the sections which have been imposed have a provision of punishment of more than 5 years. Brij Bhushan's lawyer said that wrong reporting is happening regarding the charge sheet. It should not happen that a separate media trial does not go on with one trial. The court said that you give an application regarding this.

Delhi Police opposes Brij Bhushan's bail

In such a situation, Brij Bhushan's lawyer will file an application in the court for not conducting in-camera proceedings. At the same time, the Delhi Police opposed the grant of bail to Brij Bhushan Singh and said that if this happens, he can influence the witnesses.

Delhi Police had put serious sections in the charge sheet

Delhi Police had filed a charge sheet in this case only last month, in the charge sheet of about one and a half thousand pages, many serious allegations were made against Brij Bhushan Singh. After which on July 6, the court had issued summons for the appearance of Brij Bhushan Singh. On the basis of the statements of the wrestlers, Delhi Police had talked about running a case against Brij Bhushan in the charge sheet.

The Delhi Police in its charge sheet had framed charges against Brij Bhushan Singh on the basis of about 6 female wrestlers. The police had registered a case against Brijbhushan under sections 354, 354-A, 354D. While charges have been framed against co-accused Vinod Tomar under sections 109, 354, 354 (A), 506 of IPC.
