Punjab: Vigilance of Indian security agencies and Border Security Force (BSF) stopped the terrorists before carrying out a major incident. In Punjab, Border Security Force personnel have recovered a cache of arms in Ferozepur. According to news agency ANI, "During the search at Zero Line around 7 pm yesterday, BSF found a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

After the recovery of a large quantity of weapons, the BSF said that they have also recovered several AK-47 rifles and pistols along with several rounds of ammunition. However, the BSF did not say which organization these weapons belonged to and how they got there.

Terrorists were caught in Punjab even in the past

At the same time, on October 4, the police had claimed to have busted two terrorist modules in Punjab itself. According to the police, both these terrorists were being operated by notorious criminals sitting abroad with the help of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. Police arrested two accused and recovered arms and explosives including tiffin bombs, AK-56 rifles and three grenades from their possession.

Describing the police action, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav had said, "Police seized a tiffin box full of RDX, two modern AK-56 assault rifles along with two magazines and 30 cartridges from the accused. 30 bore pistol along with six cartridges and two kilograms of heroin. He said that the police told that this drug-terrorism module was run jointly by Lakhbir Singh alias Landa of Canada, Harvinder Singh Rinda of Pakistan and Harpreet Singh alias Happy from Italy. This gang is supported by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.
