Investigative agencies have stated that the accused individuals attempted to extort money from victims by creating an atmosphere of fear and violence. In several instances, victims were threatened at gunpoint. The investigation has also uncovered plots related to kidnapping, the destruction of criminal evidence, and the use of illegal firearms. To assist in the ongoing investigation, the police have released photographs of some of the accused and have appealed to the public to share any information regarding their identities or activities. Arrests and Specific Charges

One of the key arrests involved 20 year old Ravjot Toor, who was apprehended during a traffic stop. Police claim to have recovered a restricted category weapon, ammunition, and cocaine from his possession. He faces several serious charges, including possession of an illegal weapon, possession of a firearm without a license, transporting a weapon in a vehicle, possession of a weapon for a criminal purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of controlled substances. Authorities believe that the items seized from him may be linked to a previous shooting incident.

The March 2026 Shooting and Arson

The investigation into a shooting that occurred in Calgary in March 2026 has led to the naming of Jarmanjit Singh alias German Singh (22), Jaskaran Singh alias Jassi Buttar (21), and Karanbir Singh alias Karan Singh (21). Among them, Jarmanjit Singh has been declared wanted. All three are accused of involvement in a shooting that endangered public safety. On top of that, the investigation revealed that a vehicle used in the shooting was set on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence. In connection with this arson, Amandeep Singh alias Shiva Singh (21), Anurag Sidhu (21), and Ishandeep Singh (19) have been charged.
