The ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged embezzlement of donations for the Ayodhya Ram Temple has taken a significant turn as prominent donors come forward with their grievances, while dr. Raju V. Manwani, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Castles Group of Companies, has publicly expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the handling of a substantial donation made by the Sindhi community, while speaking from Leh, the capital of Ladakh, Dr. Manwani revealed that a massive contribution of silver was handed over for the construction of the temple, yet no formal acknowledgment or receipt was provided by the authorities at that time.
Details of the 200 Kilogram Silver Donation
According to Dr. Manwani, the donation was made on a significant date, January 26, 2021. On behalf of the entire Sindhi community, 200 silver bricks, each weighing exactly one kilogram, were handed over to Champat Rai in Ayodhya. Despite the magnitude of this contribution, the donors weren't issued any receipt, while dr. Manwani stated, "On behalf of the entire Sindhi community, 200 silver bricks weighing one kilogram each were handed over to Champat Rai in Ayodhya on January 26, 2021, for the construction of the Ram Temple. " This lack of documentation has now become a focal point of concern as reports of financial irregularities surface across the country.
Concerns Over the Use of Donated Silver
Dr, while manwani explained that at the time of the donation, the individuals associated with the temple management stated they would first investigate and decide how and where the silver would be utilized before informing the donors. He mentioned that the community didn't initially raise serious questions about whether the donation would go to the temple or elsewhere. However, following the recent news of alleged embezzlement, the donors have become increasingly worried. Dr. Manwani questioned whether their donated silver had been diverted to the wrong place. Consequently, they've now demanded a receipt and specific information regarding the current status and use of the 200 kilograms of silver.
Financial Valuation and Impact on Future Donors
The MD of Castles Group highlighted the significant financial value of the donation. 5 to 2 crore rupees. However, in the current market, the value of that same 200 kilograms of silver has surged to between 6 and 7 crore rupees. Dr. Manwani emphasized that if the silver wasn't used for the temple, it would be a very sad situation. He noted that if donations intended for the temple are used elsewhere, it negatively impacts the trust of future donors. He asserted that people have a fundamental right to inquire about the status of their contributions.

When questioned about the specific details of the embezzlement, he maintained that the investigation is confidential and that the team isn't authorized to disclose findings to the public at this stage. He reiterated that the investigation requested by the government has been completed and made available to the authorities. Dr. Manwani concluded by stating that under the leadership of Modi and Yogi, nothing is impossible, and he hopes that the SIT will ensure those who misused their authority are punished.
