More than 40 ministers will take oath along with the Chief Minister in the new BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. The swearing-in ceremony can be held on March 21 or 22 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, ministers of the central government and senior BJP functionaries. In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the BJP has made a strategy to include more than two dozen existing ministers as well as new faces in the cabinet for caste and regional balance.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has returned to Lucknow after meeting PM Modi, Shah, Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, General Secretary Organization BL Santosh, UP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and co-in-charge Anurag Thakur in Delhi for two days regarding the form of government. According to sources, Yogi, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh and State General Secretary Organization Sunil Bansal will again go to Delhi in the coming days. The names of the ministers will be stamped in the meeting with Shah, Nadda, BL Santosh and Dharmendra Pradhan.

Khanna, Shahi, Mahana, Shrikant, Tandon can become ministers again

In Yogi's first term, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Medical Minister Jai Pratap Singh, Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana, Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma, MSME Siddharthnath Singh, Jitin Prasad, Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon, Minority Welfare Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Backward Classes Welfare Minister Anil Rajbhar, Jalshakti Minister Mahendra Singh, Panchayati Raj Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary can get a place again. Ministers of State Sandeep Singh, Badlev Singh Aulakh, Mohsin Raza and Gulab Devi can also get a chance again.

Former ADG and MLA from Kannauj Sadar Asim Arun, former Governor of Uttarakhand and MLA of Agra Rural Babyrani Maurya, BJP State Vice President and MLC Arvind Kumar Sharma, former Joint Director of ED and MLA from Sarojini Nagar Rajeshwar Singh can also be made ministers. . Sunil Sharma who won from Sahibabad with maximum votes, Pankaj Singh who won from Noida by more than 1.80 lakh votes can also be made minister.

Top leadership will decide on Keshav-Dinesh

The decision to retain Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dr. Dinesh Sharma will be decided by the top leadership of the party. To keep the Maurya society simple, there is a strong possibility of retaining Keshav as a cabinet minister or deputy chief minister. At the same time, whether Dinesh Sharma will remain in the organization or in the government, its decision will also be taken from Delhi.

Amit Shah appointed observer

The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Union Home Minister Amit Shah as observer and National Vice President and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das as co-observer for the election of BJP Legislature Party leader in UP. According to sources, BJP will come to Lucknow for the legislature party meeting to be held after Holi. The election of the Legislature Party leader and the date of swearing-in will be announced in the meeting.
