Delhi Liquor Scam: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has suffered a big shock. Rouse Avenue Court has sent him to judicial custody for 15 days. Now Kejriwal will remain in jail till April 15. The Chief Minister of Delhi will be kept in Tihar Jail. In such a situation, Arvind Kejriwal has filed an application in Rouse Avenue Court seeking permission to have special diet, medicines, books and wear religious locket while in judicial custody. Along with this, Kejriwal has also sought permission to keep Bhagavad Geeta and Ramayana in judicial custody.

Kejriwal was in ED custody

Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal was produced in the court today after the completion of his ED custody period. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on the night of March 21 in a money laundering case related to liquor policy. The next day, on March 22, the court sent Kejriwal to ED custody till March 28. He was then sent to ED custody on March 28 till April 1.

What is the whole matter?

ED claimed that there was corruption in formulating and implementing Delhi Liquor Policy. ED has termed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as the main conspirator in the case. Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are in jail in the liquor policy case. ED says that the money earned from Delhi Liquor Policy has been used by Aam Aadmi Party for Goa Assembly elections and other purposes. AAP has denied all these allegations and said that Kejriwal has been arrested to stop him from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections.
