According to meteorologists, Cyclone Asani is likely to move north-westwards in the next few hours. It will reach Andhra and Odisha coast by evening or tomorrow morning.


Due to Cyclone Asani, a high alert has been issued especially in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Mihir Kumar Panda, Additional SP, Puri, Odisha said, "Due to Asani, strong winds are blowing and high waves have started rising. In view of this, people living near the coastal areas are being alerted. He said that the police forces and all the stations have been put on high alert. Apart from this, many flights have also been canceled due to security reasons.


Cyclone will show more effect by evening

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Cyclone Asani will move north-westwards and reach Andhra Pradesh coast in the next few hours. Thereafter, the cyclone is likely to reach Machilipatnam, Narasapur, Yanam, Kakinada, Tuni and Visakhapatnam coasts. Odisha's Special Relief Commissioner Pradit Kumar Jena said that it will be found in the sea after reaching Visakhapatnam.


The storm will weaken from tomorrow

According to meteorologists, the cyclonic storm will gradually weaken by the morning of May 12. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, 'Asani', a severe cyclonic storm over west-central Bay of Bengal, moved west-northwestwards at a speed of 12 kmph during the last 6 hours, gradually weakening into a cyclonic storm. Used to be. The Meteorological Department has forecast that Asani will hit the coast between Kakinada and Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning. During this, stormy winds with a speed of 100 kilometers per hour can occur and heavy rain can occur.
