Politics News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a visit to Pune on Sunday. During this, he inaugurated the digital portal of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies. He also shared the stage with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who recently defected from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to join the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government. Meanwhile, a statement of Union Home Minister Shah is being discussed a lot, in which he told Ajit Pawar that you have come here too late.

Actually, it happened that Amit Shah had reached this program. Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were present on the stage in the programme. Then Amit Shah said that for the first time I am sitting on the dais with Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar is now at the right place and is sitting at the right place. Ajit Dada (Pawar) you have taken a long time to come here. Ajit Pawar, nephew of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, joined the ruling Shiv Sena (Shinde)-BJP government on July 2, tearing apart his party.

Ajit Pawar joined hands with BJP in the year 2019 as well.

Ajit Pawar had brought eight MLAs with him. He himself was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister, while eight other MLAs were sworn in as ministers. Among them, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Dilip Walse Patil and Aditi Tatkare got a place in the Shinde cabinet. Ajit Pawar took this step when Praful Patel and Supriya Sule were appointed working presidents of NCP by his uncle Sharad Pawar.

Keep in mind that in November 2019, Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy CM along with Devendra Fadnavis and surprised everyone. However, Sharad Pawar, a seasoned player of politics, was able to bring him and other NCP MLAs back to the party. The government fell after both Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar resigned in just three days.

Shinde met BJP after breaking Shiv Sena

The political drama in Maharashtra did not stop here. After this Shiv Sena (undivided)-Congress-NCP came together and formed Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and gained power and Ajit again took oath as Deputy CM. However, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government could run under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray for about three-and-a-half years, after which Eknath Shinde split the Shiv Sena and formed a government with the BJP.
