Maharastra / Daughter arrested for extorting ₹15 lakh from mother

The anti-extortion cell of Pune Police has arrested a 21-year-old female and her pal on charges of allegedly extorting ₹15 lakh from her mom and her paramour. The police have arrested the duo and are in search of another person stated to be allegedly concerned with inside the extortion case.


According to police, the accused threatened to add their pictures and videos on social media and demanded ₹15 lakh from the victims.


Initially, they controlled to extort ₹2.60 lakh, however later while the needs went up, the sufferers reached the anti-extortion cell office and lodged a first information report (FIR) at Vishrambaug police station. According to the police, the accused has been recognized as Mithun Mohan Gaikwad (21), along with the 21-year-old daughter.


The FIR states that the female had come to understand her mom’s love affair and as a consequence secretly short their videos and pictures. She then shared the data with her friend Gaikwad with the reason for extorting cash from them. Initially, the complainant gave in to their demands, however later while being continuously harassed, she lodged a complaint with the police searching for assistance and safety from the accused.
