Fight Against Corona / Delhi government has issued new guidelines for schools, arrangements will be made from regular check-up to quarantine room

The Delhi government has made preparations to deal with Corona in schools. The government has prepared a new guideline for how to fight this epidemic without closing schools. This includes rules ranging from making separate quarantine rooms in schools to teachers asking the children daily for their condition and that of their family.

In the meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, it was decided in the past that now the schools in the capital will not be closed due to Corona, but a new standard operating procedure will be prepared. On the basis of this SOP, preparations will be made to deal with Corona in schools. Under this, the Delhi government has issued a seven-point SOP today.

1- General Guidelines

  • Have regular meetings with Head of School teachers and parents and discuss about prevention of corona. Also, encourage vaccination among children and parents.
  • Whenever necessary, Head of Schools should hold meetings with parents and teachers for attendance of children and to instill confidence in them.
  • Vaccination of all staff and children should be the first priority of the school.
  • It should be ensured in the school that everyone is wearing a mask appropriately.
  • There should be adequate arrangement of wash basin and water in schools.
  • It is the responsibility of the Head of School to ensure that there is no overcrowding at all the gates at the time of entry and exit of the children.
  • Children should be forbidden from sharing their lunch.
  • Frequent sanitization of the common area should be ensured.
  • The places like classrooms etc. should also be cleaned frequently.
  • There should also be a facility of sanitization at the entry gate.
2- Check the symptoms of corona daily

  • It is the responsibility of the school to check these symptoms in children and teachers.
  • fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • dizzy
  • muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • loss of taste or smell
  • sore throat
  • runny nose
  • nausea or vomiting
  • diarrhea
If anyone shows such symptoms, then separate them from the rest and shift them to the Quarantine Room. If such symptoms are found in any child or teacher and other staff, then inform the zonal or district officer so that the school should be closed temporarily.

3- Health and Safety Guidelines

Staff should be deployed at the entry gate so that children or staff with Kovid symptoms can be sent home from there.

Thermal scanning of everyone from students to teachers should be done at the gate itself.

It will be mandatory to wash hands only while entering the school, class room, lab and washroom etc.

Parents are requested not to send the child to school if anyone in their household has symptoms of Kovid.

At the time of school attendance, daily teachers will talk to the children about Kovid.

4- Quarantine room

Every school should have a quarantine room so that it can be used in times of emergency.

5- Care has to be taken of physical distance

Children will have to be motivated to maintain physical distance in school, they should not be allowed to gather in large numbers anywhere.

6- Campus Guest Policy

Daily guest visits should be stopped. However, in times of emergency, parents will have to behave appropriately according to Kovid.

7- Awareness has to be spread

Posters etc. will have to be put up at all major places of the school regarding the prevention of Kovid.
