The Delhi government will intensify the campaign to reduce the increasing corona infection in the capital. Under this, a campaign will be launched regarding the appropriate behavior of Kovid. For which teams have been formed in the districts. Along with this, those who do not wear masks now will also be kept under close watch.

According to an official, more than 70 enforcement teams have been formed in all the 11 districts of the capital to investigate the violations so far. A massive awareness campaign has also been launched to make people aware of COVID-appropriate behavior and encourage them to take the vaccine, the official said.

A senior official in the South district said people were lax about wearing masks after the fine was lifted earlier this month, but the government has reimposed it. Violators will now be closely monitored.

1204 people infected, one patient died

In the last 24 hours, 1204 new cases of corona have been found in the capital, while one patient died. During this 863 patients were discharged.

According to the Health Department, 4.64 percent patients were found infected in 25,963 tests of corona in the last one day. According to the department, the number of active cases has increased to 4508. There are 3190 patients admitted in home isolation and 114 in hospitals. Services of doctors, employees increased till June 30

Amidst the increasing pace of corona infection in the capital, the Delhi government has extended the service of additional doctors and employees posted in Kovid duty till June 30.

Issuing an order in this regard, it has been decided to continue the services of all additional doctors and staff hired for immunization, testing, surveillance and management of infection in COVID hospitals and district health centers.

Ajay Bisht, Deputy Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, has issued an order in this regard in compliance with the directions of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). The order comes as the number of active patients in Delhi rose to 3,975 till April 25, from 601 on April 11.

According to official figures, the hospitalization rate so far has been low, accounting for less than three per cent of the total active cases. Meanwhile, the number of containment zones has remained more or less stable, which has not seen any significant increase. The number of containment zones had come down from 741 on April 11 to 656 on April 24.

The infection rate in Delhi is increasing rapidly. A day earlier, the infection rate was close to 6.4 percent, crossing the six percent figure. Earlier on January 30, there was a 6.4% infection rate. At the same time, seeing the increasing corona infection in Delhi, the government has also become active.
