Even today, dense fog is being seen in the northern states of the country. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Punjab, Haryana and Western UP. During this period, minimum temperature of 4 to 8 degrees Celsius can be recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and North Western Rajasthan. With the drop in temperature due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of cold wave in some parts of Punjab.

The minimum temperature in the plains is expected to be 8 to 12 degrees.

The minimum temperature is likely to be 8 to 12 degrees in entire eastern Uttar Pradesh, South Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha including North Western Uttar Pradesh.

There are chances of light rain or snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. At the same time, there may be sporadic rain in Himachal and Uttarakhand or snowfall in high altitude areas. Whereas in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep, there are chances of light or moderate rain in the next five days.

Dense fog in these states

According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in some parts of Punjab for the next five days. There are chances of dense fog in some parts of Haryana for the next two days. Fog is also expected in North West Rajasthan, North West Uttar Pradesh, Assam Meghalaya, Mizoram Tripura and Odisha for the next one or two days.

Delhi's climate

Due to western disturbance, the temperature is expected to drop in the capital Delhi also. The minimum temperature can reach 4 degrees Celsius. Dense fog is being seen in the capital since this morning. Due to dense fog, the speed of vehicles on the roads also reduced. The reduction in wind speed has also adversely affected the air quality of the city. On Friday, the air quality of the capital was recorded at 397, which falls in the very poor category.
