Delhi: There was a big meeting of the opposition parties on Wednesday regarding the presidential election. At the same time, the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party has also intensified the preparations. On one hand, 16 parties were churning for the opposition candidate. During that time senior BJP members Union Minister Rajnath Singh and National President Jagat Prakash Nadda were also gathering the support of the opposition. However, if we look at the current situation, BJP's efforts may also be in vain.

BJP wants the support of more and more parties for its potential candidate. At the same time, the party has a majority in the Lok Sabha, but the situation is different in the Rajya Sabha and the Legislative Assemblies. In such a situation, it is difficult to win the presidential election on your own.

According to the report of the Indian Express, investigations are going on against opposition leaders in several states. In such a situation, on the relations front, the relationship between the ruling party and the opposition is not entirely good. Not only this, BJP has also started discussions with the opposition at a time when the ED is questioning former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. At the same time, Delhi Police is also facing allegations of entering the Congress headquarters.

According to the report, not only the opposition, some leaders of the ruling party also agree that the efforts of BJP leaders for the presidential election are in vain and there does not seem to be any consensus for the post.

Singh and Nadda have been entrusted with the task of finding a consensus candidate with the opposition and allies in the presidential election. On the one hand, the image of Nadda is soft spoken and liberal. At the same time, Singh is considered an acceptable face among the opposition. On Wednesday, Union Minister Mallikarjun Kharge (Congress), Mayawati (Bahujan Samaj Party), Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party), Mamta Banerjee (Trinamool Congress), Naveen Patnaik (Biju Janata Dal), Sharad Pawar (Nationalist Congress Party), Shibu Soren (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha).

Rajnath Singh is BJP's weapon in contacting the opposition!

According to the report, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have used Singh several times to coordinate with the opposition in parliamentary strategy. Earlier this work was done by Jaswant Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley for the BJP. However, after his death, the BJP's contacts with other parties have been significantly affected.

Apart from these, the relations of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari with the opposition leaders are also considered better, but this time the BJP is relying on Singh's acceptability and administrative experience.
