Wrestlers Protest / Did the minor wrestler withdraw the case against Brij Bhushan? The victim's father gave this statement

Wrestlers Protest: The father of a 17-year-old wrestler who accused Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment, said late on Sunday night that he has not withdrawn the allegations. The victim's father said that whatever is being told on social media regarding the withdrawal of his statement (on the allegations) is fake.

He said, we stand by our statement and I am out of the station and neither in Delhi nor in Haryana. Two days ago, representatives of farmers and khap panchayats (community courts) had given an ultimatum to the Center to arrest Brijbhushan Sharan Singh by June 9 and said that if Singh is not arrested, protests will be held across the country.

Nationwide agitation warning

A collective and unanimous decision in this regard was taken in the mahapanchayat held in Kurukshetra city of Haryana on the future strategy of the wrestlers' protest. On 1 June, a 'mahapanchayat' was held in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where it was decided that a delegation would meet President Draupadi Murmu to demand justice for the wrestlers.

Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union in Kurukshetra Mahapanchayat, warned the central government that if they were not allowed to protest at Jantar Mantar on June 9, a nationwide agitation would be announced.

The farmer leader also demanded that cases against wrestlers who were assaulted and detained during the march to the inauguration of the new Parliament building on May 28, should be withdrawn. On the same day, the Delhi Police removed all their belongings from their protest site at Jantar Mantar.
