Trump remarked, "Iran has no navy and no air force. They've no leadership either. In response to the diplomatic situation, Iran has indicated that it's assessing new proposals from the United States while maintaining a firm stance. The Supreme National Security Council of Iran stated that new proposals have been presented by the Americans in recent days. The Council added that Tehran is still in the process of reviewing these proposals and has not yet provided a formal response.

Mediation Efforts and Iran's Negotiation Stance

The diplomatic discourse also highlighted the involvement of regional players. The Council mentioned that the Pakistani Army Chief was present in Tehran, acting as a mediator in the ongoing discussions. Despite the mediation, Iran emphasized that its position remains unwavering. The Iranian leadership stated that its negotiation team won't make even a slight compromise, won't retreat, and won't show any leniency; instead, it will protect the interests of the Iranian nation with full strength.

Brazilian President Criticizes Trump's Rhetoric

The escalating tension over the Hormuz Strait has drawn international reactions, including from Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, while speaking at the Progressive Leaders Summit in Barcelona, Lula criticized the nature of Trump's comments. He stated that the world can't live every day with threatening remarks from a president. Lula also appealed to the permanent members of the UN Security Council to change their stance to halt the ongoing tense conflict in the Middle East.
