India / DRDO and Indian Air Force flight tested indigenously designed and developed helicopter launched anti tank Missile

New Delhi : The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Air Force successfully test-fired an indigenously designed and developed anti-tank missile in Pokhran on Saturday. The missile was test fired from an Air Force helicopter.

During the test, the missile successfully achieved all the mission targets. During this all systems worked satisfactorily and carried out the mission. This missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art Seeker which is capable of hitting the target accurately from a safe distance. This missile can hit the target up to a distance of 10 km.

The successful test of this missile will increase the firepower of the Air Force to a great extent and it is considered a significant breakthrough in the direction of self-reliance in the defense sector. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and DRDO Chairman Dr G Satheesh Reddy have congratulated for the successful test-firing of the missile.
