After the Aryan Khan drug case, a big action has been taken against NCP leader and minister in Maharashtra government Nawab Malik. Enforcement Directorate team raided Nawab Malik's house on Wednesday morning. It is being told that the ED team reached his house at seven o'clock in the morning and his interrogation is going on since eight o'clock. According to sources, Malik's name came first in the evidence gathered by the ED in the hawala case.

Land bought from Dawood's close friends?

In November 2021, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis disclosed about Nawab Malik. Fadnavis had said that Nawab Malik had bought land in Mumbai from Dawood's close friends. One of them was involved in the Mumbai blasts. He had alleged that Nawab Malik had a business relationship with Salim Patel, a close aide of Shaha Wali Khan and Haseena Parkar, who is serving life term in the blasts.

Fadnavis had alleged that three acres of land in Kurla, owned by Salim Patel's power of attorney, was sold to a company named Solidus, a company owned by Nawab Malik. This company was bought through Shah Wali Khan. He said that even when the land deal was done in 2003, Nawab Malik was a minister. He resigned from the company in 2019. Fadnavis had said that a total of five such properties of Nawab Malik and his relatives have been seized, out of which four are related to the underworld.

Wires also connected with money laundering

The Enforcement Directorate on Friday arrested Iqbal Kaskar, brother of mafia gangster Dawood Ibrahim, from Thane jail in Maharashtra. The ED has registered a money laundering case against Dawood and his associates. Iqbal Kaskar is being interrogated in the same case. According to media reports, Iqbal Kaskar had also named Nawab Malik, after which the ED team is interrogating him. Earlier, the ED told the special court that Iqbal Kaskar used to extort ransom from celebrities and builders by using his brother Dawood Ibrahim's image as a global terrorist.
