The team of Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday defeated Punjab Kings in the 32nd match of the IPL and won their fourth win of the season. With the victory in the final over, Rajasthan also completed its revenge against Punjab. In the same season, when both the teams came face to face for the first time, Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan in the same way till the last over. Despite this victory, the Rajasthan team has got a big punishment.

In the last ball match on the strength of Karthik Tyagi's (2/29), Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by two runs in the 32nd match of IPL 2021 played at Dubai International Stadium here. Batting first, Rajasthan had given a target of 186 runs to Punjab after losing all the wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Punjab's team scored 183 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.

Sanju Samson gets punishment

Despite the victory, the team of Rajasthan Royals got a big punishment. Team captain Sanju Samson has been fined for slow over rate. After the end of the match, the IPL management informed that Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh for not completing the over in the stipulated time. Sanju Samson may have to pay a big fine but it is no less in return for the victory he has got. With this win, Sanju Samson's team has reached the fifth position in the points table with eight points.

Karthik Tyagi's over changed the match

Royals scored 185 runs in 20 overs thanks to the flamboyant innings of young batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal (49 runs in 36 balls, two sixes, six fours) and Mahipal Lomror (43 runs in 17 balls, four sixes, two fours). The Royals team could only score 21 runs in the last four overs. Royals lost the last six wickets adding just 19 runs. For Punjab Kings, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal made a century partnership but it could not succeed in winning the team. In the last over, Punjab needed four runs to win. However, Karthik Tyagi completely changed the match in one of his special overs. He took wickets on the third and fifth balls of the over and conceded only two runs. On the basis of this, the team won the victory.
