Madhya Pradesh's first case of fire in an e-vehicle has come to light. In Nishatpura area of Bhopal, the battery exploded while charging in the e-scooter and caught fire. Within no time the two-wheeler got completely burnt.
Rahul, posted as a constable in Bhopal Crime Branch, lives with the family on Nishantpura New Jail Road. He gave his daughter two months ago by buying an e-scooter from Kaya Company. The e-scooter bought for 89 thousand was engaged in charging in the parking of the house at around 10 pm on Saturday night. All the family members were in the house. Then suddenly there was a loud explosion in the parking lot. Going down and seeing, the electricity board and scooter were burning. The incident was immediately reported to the fire brigade, which doused the fire. However, within a short time the entire scooter got burnt, only the iron structure remained. According to the information, it is being said that the fire started after a loud explosion in the battery of the vehicle.
Let us tell you that in a month there have been more than 7 incidents of fire in e-vehicles in the country. On 23 April, a 40-year-old man has died in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He had bought an electric scooter from Boom Motors a day earlier and installed it in his room for charging. He died of burns and suffocation in an accident caused by the explosion of the battery during charging. Children and wife were seriously injured.
