Big Plane Crash In China / Fire in the plane flying over the mountain, 133 passengers were on board

A China Eastern Airlines plane has crashed in the Guangxi region. There were 133 passengers on this flight from Kunming to Guangzhou.

The jet that crashed was a Boeing 737. The number of casualties is not yet known. After the fire in the plane, a fire broke out in the mountainous area as well. There is a apprehension of untoward happening to the passengers aboard flight number MU 5735.

According to China's official newspaper Global Times, this Boeing took off from Kunming Changshui Airport in southwest Yunnan province at around 1.15 pm. It was scheduled to land at Guangzhou Airport in South China's Guangdong province at 3.07 pm. State-run Xinhua news agency reported that relief and rescue teams have left for the scene. China Eastern Airlines is yet to be contacted regarding the accident. The crashed Boeing is a 162 seater. It has 12 seats in business class and 150 seats in economy class.

The plane belonged to a Yunnan province subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines. It was acquired by the company in June 2015. In this way, it had flown only 6.5 years till now. As soon as the news of the accident spread, China Eastern Airlines shares fell 10 percent in premarket trading before the US stock market opened.
