Chinese Apps Ban: India has taken major action against China. 232 Chinese apps have been banned in India. 138 betting apps from China have been banned. These contain material which is a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India. Many people had complained that they were being harassed. Common people had spoken about extortion. Interest was being charged up to 3000 percent

According to the information, the Chinese mind was behind these banned apps. The directors of these apps were made to Indians. These apps used to trap the financially distressed people in the debt trap and then the interest of the loan was increased up to 3,000 per cent.

Significantly, on the basis of inputs, the Ministry of Home Affairs started analyzing 28 Chinese apps giving loans about 6 months ago. Then it came to light that there are 94 such apps that give loans. Some of these apps were available on e-stores and some worked through third party links.
