Pulwama Attack: CRPF convoy left Jammu, the soldiers were moving forward laughing and singing, no one had any idea of what was going to happen? The destination was Srinagar which was just 30 km away. Then a high speed Eeco car entered the convoy and collided with a bus. The next moment there was a huge explosion whose echo was heard up to 10 kilometers away. Everything was lost in the cloud of smoke…. Neither that car nor the bus with which the car had collided was visible. Only the wreckage of the bus and the dead bodies of the brave sons were left.

Of course, five years have passed since the dastardly attack in Pulwama, but its wounds are still fresh in the hearts of every Indian. This is the same attack after which the anger of the countrymen had reached the seventh sky. PM Modi himself had promised the countrymen that 'all tears will be avenged'. PM Modi had given complete freedom to the armed forces to decide when and how to take retaliation against the enemy. Exactly 12 days later, India took revenge for the martyrdom of 40 brave sons martyred in the Pulwama attack and Indian Air Force planes shook Pakistan's Balakot by conducting an airstrike.

After all, what happened that day?

On the morning of 14 February, a CRPF convoy of 78 buses left for Srinagar from Jammu. More than 2500 soldiers were included in this convoy. The terrorists had solid information about this army convoy. The conspiracy to attack was started months in advance and when the convoy passed through Pulwama at 3 o'clock, terrorist Adil Ahmed Dar entered the convoy with a car. There were more than 100 kg of explosives in this car. The explosion was so strong that the glasses of most of the buses of the convoy were cracked. Many soldiers were injured. 40 brave sons of 76th battalion of CRPF were martyred. The smell of gunpowder was present in the air for several kilometers. The scene was so horrifying that even the spectators shuddered.

A conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan

The conspiracy of Pulwama attack was hatched in Pakistan. NIA investigated this entire matter and it was told how ISI and Pakistan government agencies had jointly planned the attack. Masood Azhar and his brothers Abdul Rauf Asghar and Maulana Ammar Alvi were considered the main culprits. Apart from this, names of Mohammad Ismail, Mohammad Abbas, Bilal Ahmed, Shakir Bashir were also included.

The charge sheet described how the explosive was sent from Pakistan to Kashmir Valley and it was here that it was mixed with ammonium nitrate and nitro glycerine. Apart from Adil Ahmed Dar of Kashmir Valley, names of Sajjad Bhatt and Mudasir Ahmed Khan also came up in the attack, who were later selectively killed by the army. This charge sheet was of more than 13 thousand pages. A total of 19 terrorists were named in it, out of which six have been killed by the army in separate operations.

RDX was brought in pieces

Investigation revealed that ammonium nitrate, nitroglycerin and RDX were used in the attack, this RDX was collected in very small quantities as part of planning. The gelatin sticks used in this were stolen from the place where they were collected to break the mountains and rocks. Ammonium powder was purchased from the local market. According to a report by HD, more than 500 gelatin sticks were stolen from stone quarries for the attack.

Then came the night of murder and Balakot was shaken.

Not only India but the entire world was shocked by the Pulwama attack on 14th February. This was an attack which not only caused pain but also filled people with sorrow and anger. On February 17, PM Modi himself had announced that 'I also feel the same fire in my heart that is burning inside you.' PM Modi had said that - Every tear will be avenged. The armies were given the freedom to decide the time and place for retaliation. 12 days later, on 26 February, at 3 o'clock in the night, India fulfilled the promise made to the countrymen and 12 Mirage 200 fighter jets crossed the LOC and entered Pakistan.

Bombs rained on terrorist hideouts

The brave fighters of the Indian Air Force went to Balakot with Mirage 2000 and on the basis of intelligence input, destroyed the hideouts of Jaish-e-Mohammed. About 300 terrorists were killed in this attack. Several thousand kilos of bombs were dropped in the airstrike. PM Modi had given the responsibility of executing this plan to NSA Ajit Doval.
