Kanwar Yatra 2025: During the Kanwar Yatra in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Kanwariyas by showering flowers on them. On this occasion, he gave a stern warning to the anti-social elements who are trying to defame this holy journey. CM Yogi made it clear that after the completion of the Kanwar Yatra, strict action will be taken against those who tried to obstruct the journey or share objectionable and provocative posts on social media. Also, he appealed to the Kanwariyas to keep the roads and rivers clean.Welcome Kanwariyas, appreciate devotionCM Yogi praised the devotion and enthusiasm of the Kanwariyas and said,"I welcome those who bring Gangajal from Haridwar. There are youth, children in the Kanwar Yatra, everyone is moving forward with faith. They should be congratulated."He said that many social organizations have also made arrangements to serve the devotees involved in the Kanwar Yatra. However, he warned that some people are trying to defame this devotion and enthusiasm. He said,"We have to keep in mind that some elements are trying to defame this enthusiasm and devotion. This is also being done on social media. Some people are creating a ruckus and hiding under the guise of Kanwar Yatra, expose them."The CM requested the Kanwariyas to take care of the troubles of others and not pollute the rivers or roads. He also said that if anyone tries to vandalize the Kanwar, it should be reported to the police immediately.Announcement of strict action against anti-social elementsCM Yogi made it clear that the government will take strict action against those who defame the Kanwar Yatra. He said,"The government has CCTV videos of those who have defamed the Kanwar Yatra. After the Kanwar Yatra is over, action will be taken against everyone under the law. Posters of the miscreants will be pasted after the Kanwar Yatra and everyone will be held accountable."Along with this, he also warned of action against those who post inflammatory or objectionable content on social media.CRPF jawan attacked in Mirzapur, three Kanwariyas arrestedIn an unfortunate incident at Mirzapur railway station, three Kanwariyas attacked a CRPF jawan after a dispute over train tickets. The incident took place when the jawan was travelling to his duty in Manipur by Brahmaputra Express, and the Kanwariyas wanted to buy tickets for the same train to visit Baidyanath Dham in Jharkhand. The two sides got into an argument over the ticket, following which the situation turned ugly.The GRRP jawans deployed at the spot tried to control the situation and additional forces were called in. The GRP registered a case against the Kanwariyas and released them on bail. The incident further highlighted the need to maintain discipline and peace during the Kanwar Yatra.
