Government's commitment

Owaisi raised questions

MP Asaduddin Owaisi asked sharp questions to the government on this issue. He alleged that the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has been working to promote the ideology of Hindutva for the last 50 years. He asked the government if it would take steps to "detoxify" the ASI and ensure that the institution functions in accordance with the Constitution's principles of secularism and pluralism.

Government's response

Responding to Owaisi's allegations, Culture Minister Shekhawat said, "For the last 10 years and 8 months, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has been working with the ideology of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'." He also said that earlier some people used to get privileges on the basis of their method of worship or vote bank strength, but now such privileges have been abolished due to adopting a policy of equality.

Emphasis on protection of Taj Mahal
