Sonali Phogat Death Case: Haryana Government has written a letter to the Goa Government requesting a CBI inquiry into the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij gave information about this on Monday. BJP leader and Tik Tok star Sonali Phogat (42) died under mysterious circumstances in Goa last week.

The step has been taken after Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured Phogat's family members. Sonali's family members had met her at the Chief Minister's residence on Saturday evening and demanded a CBI probe into the entire episode. Khattar had also assured the family of the late leader that his government would write a letter to the Goa government on the matter.

The statement issued by Vij said that Sonali Phogat's family members had given a letter to the Chief Minister and demanded a CBI probe into the matter. He said that on the basis of the letter of the family, the state government has written to the Chief Minister of Goa for a CBI inquiry into the death case.

The Minister said that whenever Goa Police decides to come to Haryana, the State Police will extend full cooperation to them. Vij told that the people of Phogat's family have made serious allegations, some 'big names' may also be involved in this murder.

Sonali Phogat case: Goa government to submit action taken report to Khattar

At the same time, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that if needed, the case of death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat will be transferred to the CBI. Sawant said all the accused have been arrested and further investigation is on. He said that his government would submit the Action Taken Report (ATR) in the Sonali Phogat murder case to the Haryana government. He told reporters that Goa Police is investigating the matter in the right direction. He said that I would like to say that the Goa Police has done a good investigation so far. The Chief Minister said that the ATR would be handed over to the Chief Minister of Haryana and the Director General of Police.

Goa Police will go to Haryana tomorrow for investigation

Goa DGP Jaspal Singh has submitted a 4-5 page report to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the Sonali Phogat death case. At the same time, Goa Police IG Omvir Singh Bishnoi said on Monday that a team of Goa Police probing the death of Sonali Phogat will visit Haryana on Tuesday. Goa Police has so far arrested five people including Phogat's PA Sudhir Sangwan and another aide Sukhwinder Singh.
