As soon as April starts, most of the cities of the country are in bad condition due to heat. There is no hope of getting relief from the heat for the next five days in the northwestern part of the country and central India. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of heat wave or hot winds in these states.

According to the bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department on Thursday, most parts of north-west India and central India, especially western Rajasthan, are likely to experience heat wave for the next five days. Similar situation will prevail in South Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Hot winds will haunt these areas.

Mercury will be higher than normal

According to the IMD, maximum temperatures will remain above normal at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Punjab. In the next five days, the minimum temperature at isolated places over West Rajasthan will be 5 degrees Celsius or more above normal. However, minimum temperatures will remain below normal over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

On April 8, there is a possibility of heat wave in Maharashtra and Jammu division. In the next two to three days, rain and thundershowers are expected in the north eastern regions including Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Nagaland. At the same time, regions like Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha and Bihar are likely to experience a similar situation.

Similarly, heat wave conditions are likely to persist at most places with isolated heat wave conditions at isolated places over West Rajasthan on April 9. Thunderstorms and thundershowers are very likely at isolated places over Chandigarh, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Scorching heat here

On April 10, severe heat is expected in isolated areas in West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Similar conditions will be seen in West Uttar Pradesh, South Haryana-Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, South Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Vidarbha and Chandigarh.

Heavy rain here

Due to southwesterly winds blowing from Bay of Bengal, six states of North East except Arunachal Pradesh are expected to receive thunderstorms and heavy rain at isolated places. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area will form in South East Bengal in the next 48 hours due to cyclonic winds in South Andaman Sea. Some rain is expected over Chandigarh, Coastal and Interior Karnataka and Kerala.
